Vir diegene met 'n voetspoor in die Namakwaland is hierdie boek 'n moet hê. Vir die res van ons, 'n genots ervaring, maar ook 'n leerskool van die lewe.

In oom Gert se eie woorde: "...hierdie harde leerskool (die lewe) is nie 'n handboek nie, maar 'n slypsteen vir oorlewing".
